To get myself in the Christmas mood, as I definitely have been struggling this year, I was hunting and searching for something that would get me to smile a little more, as I, like a couple of single parents I know, will be without our kids this Christmas Eve/Day.
I’m excited that I will get to have them the week after, for such an extended time, and that they will get to be with me all this weekend and throughout the next week. But, it is something that is still very disheartening that I will be without them.
[ What's that you say?! I should already be in the Christmas cheer? ]
Uh yeah, sure.
So I’ve been hunting down some fun Christmas songs and of course I was reminded of this performance late one night. I remember seeing it years ago.
And since I didn’t really want to write anything [ It's okay... Really! I'll be back tomorrow ], I’m presenting to you this great Christmas medley. Because sometimes using all our senses can be fulfilling [ Is that an excuse I hear? ], and down right fun.
So without further ado. I give you Straight No Chaser:

Travis, this is a mother speaking, no no dont worry not your mother
hahaha ummm shouldn’t you be sleeping!?!?! but again great song. Where do you keep getting all these songs from?
I LOVE THIS!!!! Thank you so much! It was perfect. What a way to start my morning. I’m tweeting it and facebooking it and…you, my fellow single parent suffering alone on Christmas Eve, have made the day bearable. Big hugs…unless you’re standing under some of that mistletoe…

Well, thank you Nicki. Yes, big hugs. And there seems to be a lack of Mistletoe around here.
My work computer blocks media links so I can’t listen to it now Travis- but I hope you have a great Christmas!! A little egg nog (or rum and coke if you hate egg nog like me) might go a long way towards getting you through tonight!!
IntrigueMe´s last blog ..Happy Ho Ho
haha, see, if we were south of the US, all you would have to do is ask for a coke and it would show up as a rum and coke.
Merry Christmas Sarah
