I’d Give All The World Tonight

It’s late tonight, and my mind is pondering deep and heavy thoughts.

In our lives, we make mistakes.  We battle demons, and we fight darkness that may try to creep in.  It is life to pursue happiness.  It is our challenge.  It is our goal.  To find what happiness truly is.

It will never be in things. That would be like looking under sun soaked rock for water.  You may think it’s there, but it won’t be. The moment you try to lift it up and look under it, the little water that is there will never sustain you. And will evaporate quickly.

But know that the comforting hand, the peaceful smile, and the sturdy heart are where happiness lies.  We can be the source of it for others, as they may need our strength until they can carry themselves. They will look to our light to see the light in themselves.

“I will be that hand, to pick you up. And when you have the strength,  we will walk hand-in-hand”

To watch yourself physically break down from information that pulls at your fears, and at your insecurities is tough.  You try to stop yourself.  You can feel your body shaking, your brain starts to shutdown, and you keep telling yourself you can hold it together, until your body is drained and you crash out of pure exhaustion.

Don’t be afraid, oh my love. I’m on your side, and I still care.  Just think of me, and I’ll be there.

But I am afraid.
