This of course, get’s me to pull you in, to distract you from my silliness. Holding you close, feeling your stomach quiver with butterflies. I can feel your heartbeat pick up, and I can hear the change in your breathing.
The music changed… It goes quiet, but we didn’t notice. I’m looking into your eyes. And, I hold closely with my hand in the small of your back.
I can smell the gentle aroma of perfume, faint yet present. And intoxicating.
People all around us. Bumping into us. Some of them even tugging on you to move. But we don’t notice them.

Even when you realize that one of them is going to do a diving jump onto you [ What?! Has this turned into a mosh pit? ]. You of course get the brunt of the catch and down you go. Of course you look into those eyes, and you give the bearer of those big eyes, an amazingly sweet hug. Picking them up and putting them on their feet. What originally was just you and me, is now you me and Tiger Lilly*. How can you say no to those eyes.
