I’ve Got A Loss Of Appetite [ I Can't Beat The Heat ]

Also known as, Maybe it’s because I’m sick.. or maybe not.

I didn’t ever really dance throughout my marriage.  It was one of those things that was always talked about but when the opportunity arrived… it just didn’t happen for one reason or another.

And, there is something really hot about the right music, the right moves, and the right heart rate [ Mmmm a little bit of Mediterranean goes a long way ].  To feel the stomach quiver as you are close.  You can almost feel the weakness in the knees as you wrap your arm around her.  You can feel the weight of the body as you hold her close.

Your skin is a little dry from being in the sun. It’s warm to the touch but not yet burned.  Your cheeks are sun-kissed from the time you spent in the afternoon. It brings out your eyes. [ Is that a sparkle or fire? ] A chill is running down your spine as a slight breeze blows along the back of your legs.

The music is moving slowly.  Not many people are out where the music is.  We are close to the beach, which means that we get to hear the ocean as a background to the music.  The sun is still going down. And the ocean’s colors are dancing with reds, oranges and purples.

We move with the music and we don’t even notice anyone else is even close to us.  There is a slight rain starting to fall, but it is warm and we don’t even notice it…

The rain is falling down off your shoulders and down your arms. My shirt is getting wet and we continue to move to the music that seems to have gotten distant.  We stopped paying attention to it.  We stop moving to just hold each other in place.  As we stare into each others eyes.  Gently swaying, feeling the warmth of the rain as it falls down on us.  The world around us has gotten quiet and we did not notice that everyone else left.  We are trapped in the moment.  Moving, swaying, back and forth…

[ Editor's Note ] uh… Travis… go ON vacation already!
